Winter Work

As a Marblehead Fishing Charter our workload is about to switch from maintenance to fishing.  March is more than halfway over and we are checking projects off the winter list.  The engine has been installed and new fuel lines, filters and many other new parts added.  The project was a fun one, and I am looking forward to gaining some increased cruising speed on the long runs we make each year.  The forecast for the 2019 season is projected to be better than 2018. So long runs will be few and far between once again.  During the 2018 Lake Erie Fishing most of our trips were within 5 miles from the Marblehead area and several just a mile or so off shore.

Updates

The 2019 Walleye population is estimated at 41 Million.  A quick read of ODNR’s article will get you excited for the fishing season if you aren’t already

We posted this to the Old Lakeshore Facebook Page with over 152 shares.  It’s clear that the fishing itch is growing for everyone including me.  Our tentative launch date is April 2, a few fun fishing days to break in the motor and knock the dust off is all I will need to be back in top notch performance.  The schedule is almost full with only 9 weekend dates left for the season and most months full for the year.  We continue to gain new clients and retain our old ones as we enter our 4th year in business.

Fishing

The Marblehead area is about to boom with tourism and shake the gray empty look it has right now.  If you are looking for a great vacation may I suggest you look into the area. There is so much to do that it really does appeal to everyone.  The fishing near Marblehead, OH is amazing whether you are on Lake Erie of fishing from shore you won’t be disappointed.  If you are looking for trophy Walleye, Lake Erie fishing is where its at.  The summer months will still be the most productive for large catches of Walleye.  I am wrapping up the finishing touches on the gear and look forward to seeing old friends again. For some info on one of last years trips read this article.
