August 3rd

Late in the afternoon of Thursday I received a call from a new client looking for a last minute Lake Erie Charter.  Usually we don’t have many open days in our schedule but a client that had some medical issues come up had to cancel his trips he had scheduled and we had an opening.  The group was looking for a Yellow Perch Charter for their father, they said he was the fisherman of the family, however when I met the crew in the morning they informed me he had gotten sick during the night and wasn’t going to make it.  The crew consisted of Jim, his son James and Uncle Eric.  They were excited to spend some time fishing on Lake Erie since it had been a little while since they had been out.  The weather was set to be perfect for a day on the water, but the Perch bite was a soft one once again and it took them quite a while to get the hang of it before they started catching.  Once we got everyone trained on how to set the hook on a soft bite, the catching began to improve and we all started to catch fish at a good pace.  The best bite has been around 10 am and today pretty much followed suit.  As the day wore on James decided he had enough and we finished up our day at 63 Lake Erie Yellow Perch.  The guys said they had a great time and had enough fish for the day.  It was a slow pick for the day but had some periods of fast action.

We hope to be your Lake Erie Fishing Charter
